Please note the following time frames:
School opens at 8:45 am for students.
All students are encouraged to arrive at school no earlier than 8:45 am and no later than 9:00 am.
Students riding a bus or car are dismissed at 4:00 pm.
Walkers and bike riders are dismissed once buses leave, at approximately 4:10 pm.
Students who arrive between 9:00 and 9:30 am will be marked tardy.

Social distancing at bus stops to the greatest extent possible. Dismissal of students into the building will be staggered.  A designated staff member will dismiss buses as they arrive, minimizing traffic through entryways.  Students will use designated entries. Students will have assigned seats. The use of masks will be required for students. Students will use sanitizer when entering and exiting the bus.
May access building starting at 8:45 am.
We ask that students do not arrive early and gather at the front entrance.
Parents will not be able to walk their child(ren) into the building at drop off.

Parent Drop-off

Parent Drop-off will take place in the front parking lot near the main entrance for FPE.

Please do not let your student out of the car until an adult indicates that it is safe to do so.

Staff assisting with parent drop-off will be required to wear face coverings.

Staff will be unable to assist with unbuckling of car seats/booster seats.

We ask that students are not dropped off prior to 8:45 am.  Supervision will not be present until then.

Parents will not be allowed to walk their child(ren) into the building at drop off.

Late Arrivals

When students are late, parents should pull up to the front entrance and remain in the vehicle.

Call the office 636-272-2704 to alert the office of your late arrival.

A staff member will come outside and escort the student into the building.

Early Dismissals
If a student needs to leave school early, a parent must come to the office to sign child out.
All parents signing children out early will be asked to show valid identification on each occasion.
Please do not call the office and ask to have your child dismissed from class prior to your arrival.
Parents should never go to the classroom to pick up their child. Teachers cannot dismiss a child from the classroom to a parent.
For safety reasons, we seek your cooperation in these matters.

Change in Normal Dismissal Procedures
Should you require your child to be picked up by someone other than yourself or change his or her normal routine, we MUST have a note from home or a telephone call to the office.
Children will be sent home as usual, no matter how insistent they may be, unless we hear from the parent.

Student Absence
If your child will not be able to attend school, please contact the office by 8:45 am.
You may leave a message on the answering machine if you call before 8:00 am, stating your name, your child’s name, the teacher’s name and the reason for the absence.
Email the attendance clerk [email protected]
If we are not notified the day of an absence, we must then try to contact you to verify the child being at home.
A "Planned Absence" form is available from the school office if you know ahead of time that your child is going to be absent from school for an extended period of time.

Make-Up Work Due To Absences
If your child is going to be out ill, especially for a number of days, you are encouraged to contact our office to make arrangements for your child's work to be sent home or picked up. We need the homework request by 8:45 am. Homework will be ready after 3 pm the same day. Students are given a day for each day missed to complete and return assignments given during their absence.
